YMCA- WHAT REALLY MATTERED: A HISTORICAL EXHIBIT

On a busy downtown street outside the Vancouver Art Gallery, home to some of Vancouver’s most famous exhibits, we set up an exhibit of our own. Only this exhibit was from the future, showcasing icons of healthy child development that may become a thing of the past if we continue to bury our faces in screens and communicate via text. Items like a baseball glove, a picket fence, books, binoculars, a swing set, etc were mounted in display cases, protected with velvet ropes, and displayed with placards explaining these “extinct” items.
